Based in Doha, Qatar, Michael worked closely with the host country’s aviation authority to ensure safe and efficient military operations throughout the region. Recognized for his leadership and effectiveness, Michael returned stateside to serve as the Commander of the 7th Operations Support Squadron, where he directed all airfield operations at Dyess AFB. A natural leader, planner, and decision maker, Michael was a seamless fit for the role of Combat Air Forces Branch Chief at The Pentagon. Responsible for metering pilot training throughput and readiness, he created career development plans ensuring manpower levels met all squadron requirements. Michael then worked in the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration as an Executive Action Officer. Preparing documentation and research directly to the Under Secretary of Energy, he provided recommendations to ensure the safety, security, and effectiveness of the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile. He retired from the Air Force in July 2022 with over 22 years of active duty service. Michael joined United Airlines in August 2022 as a First Officer flying all variants of the Boeing 737 based in Washington D.C. flying out of Dulles International Airport, Reagan National Airport, and Baltimore Washington International Airport.
