About Michael Gerstle

As being fascinated by technology and its possibilities, designing and manufacturing became my passion - and profession. Since that time, I always enjoyed most making things better, may it be a process, technology - or an organisation. This has finally gotten me in touch with the Toyota Production System - and the Lean SixSigma methodology, which profoundly changed my professional life. Today, after more than 25 years of professional experience, I take great pride in having successfully supported numerous teams and organizations driving towards Operational Excellence. During this time, I have learned one important lesson: tools and systems are important, no question. But true and sustainable transformational change towards high performing Agile Teams and Operational Excellence can only be achieved if leaders want it to happen - and people understand why it is necessary. And, of course, what is in for them. As a Lean SixSigma Expert and Change Manager, I focus on inspiring people and leaders to take the courage and drive their Operational Excellence approach. Only true commitment and 'walk the talk' will finally bring sustainable and mature success. People matter - results count.
