About Michael Gilbert

I started out as an actor, working mainly on stage. It taught me a level of confidence that would be key in my career as a salesperson. My first sales job was at Freddie's Flowers, working as a canvasser - selling their flower subscription door-to-door, in the street, and at events. In my 3 years there, I was one of the only members of the sales team to have signed up over 3k customers to receive regular deliveries. I then took a role as Sales Team Leader, until the first lockdown in 2020 put f2f sales on hold. Once restrictions had eased up enough, I went back to face-to-face selling with Rocket Food's temporary subscription,'A Cook's tour', that delivered luxury ingredient boxes. I then worked for Mind, Body, and Soil, selling their plant/gift subscription box at events such as Chelsea Flower Show. I became Head Of Sales at Creature Comforts in 2023, helping them to open 3 clinics with hundreds of active members from the get-go, and build high-converting waiting lists for a further 2 upcoming clinics. In 2025 I pivoted to work as a consultant.
