About Michael Glennon

I’m many-sided, though a teacher at the core. I suppose I could say “educator” since by “teaching” I mean things like course design and academic coaching in addition to the usual things like leading a class or reviewing student work. The next question people ask is usually, ‘What do you teach?’, as opposed to something like ‘what kind of teacher are you’? The answer to the second question may ultimately say much more about the teacher than the answer to the first, but I’ll throw you a bone. I teach in a number of fields: sociology, business English, and science writing and communication skills. Presently, I’m weighing with a great deal of interest a pivot to new places to share my skills, including a transition into secondary education. I’ve always been attracted to community-oriented work, and secondary school seems like it may scratch that itch.
