About Michael Gloor

My fascination with diverse cultures and languages has been the driving force behind my global explorations—from memorizing the capitals of the world as a child, to supporting my studies by selling sunbeds in Southern Italy, to acquiring a distinct Asian education with the Singaporean Flag Carrier. After years of enriching roles across Europe and Asia, including a pivotal stint with the German Flag Carrier in the vibrant French capital, I relocated to Luxembourg in 2020. Throughout my career in the airline industry, I've embraced roles that challenged me to sell, lead, develop, analyze, restructure, and achieve various projects, teams, and ambitious targets. My experiences have shaped me into a Travel Aficionado; I am intrigued not only by planes and products but also by the economics of travel, evolving customer behaviors, and especially the technological advances, such as digitalization, transforming our industry. More importantly, I thrive on connecting with professionals and leading capable teams. As an empathetic leader, I am committed to enhancing team satisfaction and performance, enabling us to navigate challenges and achieve success together. In December 2019, I graduated with Distinction from the Global Executive MBA program at INSEAD in Singapore, where I connected with an inspiring community of peers and professors. The most adventurous chapter in my career began with my leadership role during the height of the Corona crisis. Since then, I have spearheaded the emergence of the Travel Group Luxembourg—a joint venture between Emile Weber and We Love to Travel—serving as CEO. In 2022, I also took the helm at ULT, a Luxembourgish tour operator, successfully merging two companies into one unified brand. Currently, as CEO of both entities, I am focused on innovating and shaping the local travel industry to thrive in the new normal.
