About Michael Gobin

Subsea engineer by training and problem-solver by nature, I am passionate about innovation and new technologies that bring value in the real life. I grew up as a baby engineer at Technip in the early and moved to various positions within Cybernetix, TechnipFMC and now Technip Energies, covering a very large scope of activities from R&D to project management and industrialization with a very strong focus on robotics and new technologies. After 15 years in engineering activities, I started to endorse the role of innovation manager and realized how important it was to focus FIRST on customer needs and pain points rather than on technology! This is the only solution to turn innovation into a success that generates value and satisfaction. From this experience, I decided to move to the "dark side" of the organization and to join the business development teams, allowing to work directly with the customers and bring them value thanks to my solid engineering expertise and my ability to understand their problems to be solved. Today, I'm a proud team member of Technip Energies Digital Services, committed to delivering high added-value solutions and services to my customers. My objective is clear : help brownfield asset owners switching from a document-centric model to a data-centric operation to improve OPEX, production and HSE on site. I'm also a devoted husband and father of two kids living by the sea in Southern France, and like to recharge my batteries on the week-end spending some good time on the water practicing my favorite activities : fishing, windsurfing, photography and snorkeling. always thinking about how to make these activities better and more efficient!
