About Michael Godesky

I am a leader in Climate Resilience with more than 25 years of experience guiding programs, leading projects, and growing organizations in FEMA Resilience. This includes 12 years experience in the Risk Mapping, Assessment, & Planning program and 9 years experience leading the Resource Management Branch for a large portfolio of resilience programs. Additionally, in the past four years, I completed three leadership detail assignments and made important programmatic and organizational accomplishments-FEMA Office of Policy & Program Analysis - As the Acting Director of the Business Management Office in (2021), I made significant improvements in strategy implementation and business management-Executive Office of the President/Council on Environmental Quality - As Deputy Director on the Climate Resilience Team (2023), I led the interagency implementation of the Federal Flood Risk Management Standard-FEMA Office of Resilience Strategy - As the Director of the Community Resilience Coordination Division (2023), I led the interagency and Intra-agency implementation of The Community Disaster Resilience Zones Act of 2022.
