About Michael Goins

I have excellent written and oral communication skills. I am self-motivated, creative, and can work individually or as part of a team. I have worked as an Assistant Manager with a staff of over 60 people and have demonstrated good leadership skills. I have a strong work ethic and possess an even stronger willingness to learn. I am loyal. I have been employed since 2014 with my current employer. Prior to that I worked five years for my previous employer. I displayed integrity, earning a written commendation from a judge for my courtroom demeanor and procedure as a Delaware State Police Cadet. I earned the rank of Eagle Scout, scouting's highest honor. As an Eagle Scout, I am Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, Reverent. For my service project I refurbished the Georgetown Fire Company's Fire Safety House. My project provided for the continued fire safety education of local school children. As a member of my troop, I have held leadership roles such as Junior Assistant Scoutmaster and Senior Patrol Leader. In addition I served as the troops Quartermaster and Director of the troops Bead Program. Both positions build a better understand of inventory control and management. I was also nominated into the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s National Honor Society. As a member of the Order of the Arrow I have held service and leadership roles such as Camping Promotions Chairperson and Chapter Chief for Sussex Chapter. In addition to giving back to scouting, I have tried to give back to the community. I have participated in multiple Delaware Special Olympics Fundraisers since In addition, I organized a $1400 donation for the 2014 Polar Bear Plunge. I possess a diverse background of knowledge and understanding that makes me the ideal candidate for any position.
