About Michael Gore

I have a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and my experience lies in the field of Systems Administration, Telecommunications and Information Technology. My previous experience was at VPSI when I joined the team in October of 2015 as a Systems Administrator for SPAWAR 2.0 Acquisition and Contracts E-Commerce (ACE-C) production system. While employed through VPSI, I was solely responsible for reviewing and preparing procedural documentation, setup, maintenance, and testing of ApplicationXtender and Tripwire Enterprise Security monitoring tool. Prior to this experience with VPSI, I worked as a Systems Analyst and Supervisor for the Military Sealift Command Afloat Network Operations Center. I joined the MSC team in February of 2009 as an operator and was later promoted to the position of Supervisor. I spent about 6 years in the US Navy when I joined back in February of 2003 and worked as an Information Systems Technician until September of 2008. Before I started my journey to gain experience in the field of Information Technology, I utilized leadership skills to afford myself the ability to manage subordinates in the restaurant industry while simultaneously supervising daily operations. I have obtained a CompTIA A +, Security + and the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration as well as continuing my education through California Institute of Arts and Technology and receiving a Certificate in Computer Information Systems – Networking Concentration. My Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity with a concentration in Digital Forensics comes from National University, San Diego, CA. Aside from my certifications, I offer a complete package of confidence, hard work, leadership, ability to train others, and a driven desire to succeed. I am very goal-oriented, work exceptionally well in a team environment, pride myself in the area of customer service, and enjoy a good challenge. My focus is on longevity and becoming a valuable asset to an evolving team of professionals; as long as they will have me.
