About Michael Goretsky
A graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Michael Goretsky did his general surgical training at the University of Cincinnati, and Pediatric Surgical Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. He did research fellowships in ECMO at the Children’s Hospital of Cincinnati, and burn research at the Shriners Institute in Cincinnati. He had been at the Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters in Norfolk Virginia for 15 years with major interests and expertise in chest wall surgery and minimally invasive surgery. He has over 20 publications in peer reviewed journals on the Nuss procedure as well as numerous chapters in pediatric surgical text books. He has lectured extensively around the world on chest wall diseases, including being an instructor at all of the International Nuss Pectus Excavatum and Carinatum Lecture Series in Norfolk. Virginia. After a brief hiatus at Carolinas Health System working at Levine Children's Hospital and Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital, he returns to CHKD
