About Michael Grove

As a Senior Software Engineer with over 20 years experience across a variety of industries including Telecommunications and Networking, Finance/Banking, Pharmaceuticals, and Medical Research/Education, my work has primarily centered on Java and its related technologies. It often involves interfacing with SQL RDBMSs and/or NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, as well as interfacing with external systems via APIs, network protocols, and standards. While I continue to grow my knowledge in these areas, I also utilize and enjoy learning other languages, frameworks, and technologies. My responsibilities have also included Architecture and Design roles, Team Management (project/technical and HR reporting), gathering of Business Requirements, creation of Technical Designs, End User Interaction for Support, Interface Improvement, and Proofs of Concept, Documentation (internal/external), Failover and Performance Testing/Improvement, and Release/Build Management. My background also includes Quality Assurance from earlier in my career which gives me additional insight on Product Quality throughout the whole SDLC.
