About Michael Grundhauser

Starting in the Air Force as a Ground Radio Technician, I was trained in basic electronics and Radio Frequency equipment. I spent 9 years as a Ground Radio Technician attaining a 7 level. After my honorable discharge I worked for DSC (Later to become Alcatel). At DSC I tested newly manufactured central office subsystems (Telecommunications). In this position I was given raises for my ability to go beyond the job specifications and developing improvements to the position. After 2 years I was promoted to Systems Engineering Technician II in the Research and Development department. In this position I supported several software development groups with their hardware needs. I was often awarded for my group participation efforts. My position along with many others was eliminated by Alcatel in 2002. I took this opportunity to move myself and my son back to Spokane. I worked several temp positions in the electronics field and obtained a CompTIA A+ certification (2004) before deciding to work for Walmart in 2006. After 5 years at Walmart I decided to go back to college in 2011. In December of 2013 I received an AA in Electronics Communications with a 3.8GPA. I worked for Diebold Nixdorf for about 4 years. Currently working for Plug Power and they are closing the manufacturing facilities in Spokane. I would like to find work in the Spokane area. I have most recently been focused on manufacturing, but am open to any area that could utilize my work experience.
