About Michael Hallam

Designers and engineers create the products and services that improve peoples lives. Sadly, many high-potential design solutions fail to get off the ground and realise their societal value because technically specialised teams fail to consider the commercial side. My professional ambition is to combat that through insight generation and analysis. I chose my master's degree to practice exactly that. Here I joined forces with designers to strategically attack the societal and business challenges of tomorrow. We did so using an arsenal of tools ranging design-thinking to project management and analytics. During these projects, my bachelor's degree became a battle plan. By combining knowledge on business administration, organisational sociology and research methods I take a holistic yet data-driven approach. So far I have enjoyed consistently high academic results, ranking third in my bachelor's programme. One of my greatest professional achievements was joining engineering startup without any technical experience and converting business knowhow and research skills into a funding a strategy which led to over in soft-funding, additional pitch opportunities of 2 million and multiple investment offers.
