About Michael Hallik

DISCLAIMERI have been receiving so many Linkedin messages, that I haven't been able to answer most of them, for quite a while now. The number of messages only seems to increase and, consequently, I will probably not be able to answer a lot of messages I receive now or in the near future. Please do not take this personal or as a sign of impoliteness- END OF DISCLAIMERI have more than twenty years of diverse testing experience, as can be gathered from the various 'Experience' sections below. What makes me passionate about (methodological) software testing is, foremost, the dynamics and the variety that arise from the special position it holds between business and technology. I also appreciate it's integral and logical outlook on fundamental concepts (or aspects) of software engineering, such as risk and quality. This outlook is needed, since, at least in my experience, both business and engineering typically do not hold it.Keywords that describe my attitude: frank (as in open-hearted), analytical, solution-oriented, inquisitive, alternatingly technocratic (and inclined towards systematics) and creative. I do not humor people, if I believe them to be wrong, but will try to convince them otherwise by making a case for what I believe is fact. Conversely, I am not an inflexible or obstinate person, but am very much open to arguments or concerns of pragmatic nature.I am not a certified tester. When I started in the testing field, certification programs were virtually non-existent. However, during a discussion I once had with James Bach (during a presentation of his that I was attending), he said to me:"Michael, you have a brain like a race car. I could always use someone like you on my team." Now, every red-blooded tester knows, that that is worth at least a dozen certificates.See my articles at:https://michaelhallik.github.io/blog/
