About Michael Hammer

I am a Senior at Purdue University and I am excited to continue developing myself as an aerospace engineer and a leader by joining the industry in the spring! As a Design Engineering Intern at Siemens Energy, I was completely responsible for creating assembly and test tooling for a new gas turbine product. At Altimiara Corporation, I created a data analysis software prototype that would allow analysts to save time and more easily communicate with decision-makers. Being involved with Purdue Space Program Rocket Club as a technical lead has given me the opportunity to make connections, mentor students, and launch rockets. My best moments from this club have been coaching students to learn more about engineering. Taking the Every Boilermaker Engineer Codes course at Purdue has allowed me to be successful at internships, in school, and in my personal life by automating tasks. I have had the opportunity to help students overcome the initial learning curves of programming by being a teaching assistant for the course. I like to stay active by running and being involved with the Purdue Waterski Team.
