About Michael Hart

After growing up in country South Australia and spending time in New Zealand, I completed High School in Adelaide. I then spent a year in upstate New York as a Rotary Exchange Student before returning and completing an Economics Degree. Joined National Australia Bank out of University before assisting St.George Bank start up a Commercial and Corporate Banking presence in Adelaide. Transferred to Sydney to assist a US consulting team bring St.George and Advance / BankSA together. Left to join Bach Management Consulting to work in New Zealand, consulting on organisational change at Telecom NZ. Returned to Adelaide in 2001 to join as a Partner in Halpin Wealth. In 2006 I launched Charter Capital Finance, a finance broking and finance advisory business serving business and professional clients. Today Halpin Wealth and Charter Capital Finance has a team of 30 across our CBD offices in Adelaide and Darwin. We are uniquely positioned with a depth of knowledge when it comes to strategic financial advice for business owners, professionals and high net worth families. Was approached to join the Board of Sturt FC in March 2009 and stepped aside in June 2013 to spend more time on our wine business. A key role at Sturt was helping to design and launch the successful debt demolition strategy. Past Board Member of Barossa Australia. Together with my wife, Alisa, we own Hart of the Barossa, an organic wine business. Our property in the Barossa is the oldest certified organic vineyard in the valley with 17 acres of shiraz and cabernet sauvignon with some vines being 120 years of age.
