I deal with building contracts, engineering contracts, professional services appointments, bonds, guarantees, warranties, third party rights, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, construction aspects of development agreements and agreements for lease Whoever I act for, whether it is suppliers or users of construction and engineering services, my role is to get the deal done and help the project happen. My view is that you get best value if lawyers are part of the project delivery team. That means I invest time to work alongside you and therefore understand your business, your risks and what you want to achieve. That does not mean that I argue every single little point, whether commercially material or not. I add value by spotting issues and resolving problems in a way that moves the job forward. There are circumstances where I have to analyse, redraft, negotiate and agree a clause of a contract, but it always has a measurable purpose in the wider context of the job. I help my clients to protect themselves with adequate construction security by obtaining the most appropriate benefits, liabilities, rights and obligations. I work for contractors, suppliers, developers, purchasers, tenants, funders and design consultants operating within the construction and engineering sector.
