About Michael Hoerl

Michael Hoerl began his career in 1997 at Cutler Manufacturing Corporation as an Industrial Engineer. During this time Mr. Hoerl also completed his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of South Florida. In Mr. Hoerl transitioned jobs to Jabil Circuit, the worldwide leader in Electronic Manufacturing Services, where he began as a Project Quality Assurance Engineer. During 2002 and 2003 Mr. Hoerl help the business unit move several product lines from the US facility (St. Petersburg, FL) to Guadalajara, Mexico. This move required frequent trips with extended stays in Mexico. In 2003 Mr. Hoerl became a Quality Supervisor for Graham Packaging Company, the leading provider of custom blow molded containers. During his time at the plant Mr. Hoerl became Six Sigma Black Belt certified and led projects which saved the company over Due to Mr. Hoerl’s efforts he was promoted and transfer to a Graham facility located just north of Atlanta, GA in 2005. The additional responsibilities Mr. Hoerl assumed were 16 quality assurance inspectors and a quality technician. The manufacturing plant served 3 main customers PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, and Clorox with annual sales of $96 million. Mr. Hoerl has also been the project champion for many internal plant teams as well as lead two corporate teams which have reduced cost or saved the company over $1 million dollars. In 2010 Mr. Hoerl graduated Magna Cum-Laude with an MBA degree from Kennesaw State University. April 2011 Mr. Hoerl was promoted to a Corporate Quality Assurance position within Graham Packaging. In this position he is the Corporate quality leader for the Beverages Vertical Business Unit. This includes 15 facilities spread throughout North America and supports key business accounts such as PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Ocean Spray, Welchs, and many Private Label Customers. In addition to supporting operations he is a subject matter expert in Food Safety and has assisted in the FSSC certificate for many of the Graham Packaging Facilities.
