About Michael Howell

I have a Master of Science in Logistics, Trade, and Transportation earned from Southern Miss in 2019 and a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Auburn in 2009. My work experience includes 5 years management experience and 3 years production experience in food and beverage management, and 1 year regulatory experience as an inspector with the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry. Throughout my career I have managed front of house food service for facilities with hundreds of thousands of square footage of exhibit space, managed events that serviced tens of thousands of people at once, and been apart of a team working on such diverse and high profile events as the Super Bowl XLVII Fan Experience, NBA All Star Weekend, major Mardi Gras Extravaganzas, and Microsoft's Tech-Ed Conference to name a few. I also handled bulk production at one of the largest bakeries in the Gulf South with sales exceeding tens of millions of dollars in annual sales and peak demand exceeding individual items per day. All of my relevant work experience has thus far been in the Greater New Orleans Area but I am absolutely open to relocation for the right opportunity. Working in such high pressure environments and on cross-functional teams has prepared me for the next step in my career as I seek to transition into the Supply Chain Management and Logistics Industry.
