About Michael Huang

With over 16 years of engineering experience in the nuclear industry, I am a passionate and dedicated Manager at Kinectrics, where I oversee a team of professional engineers and designers. My mission is to provide high-quality engineering services for sustaining and improving plant operations at client utilities. I have a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto, and I have developed a strong expertise in nuclear safety, nuclear engineering, and site implementation services. I value innovation, collaboration, growth and excellence, and I strive to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team and the organization. In my current role, I manage and supervise the technical work, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and regulations. This includes specifications, calculations, and modification packages following the engineering change control process. Some of the projects that I have led or supported include safety improvement opportunities, safe operating envelope (SOE), reconciliation and registration of nuclear class systems, and evaluation of power-operated valves. I use my engineering, nuclear safety, and commercial skills to deliver solutions that meet the client's needs and expectations. I also mentor and coach the staff, develop training, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
