Background
About Michael Huber
My name is Michael Huber, and I am a government relations professional with Johns Hopkins University & Medicine. I currently manage a complex portfolio of legislative and regulatory issues in the health care and higher education sectors. Before coming to Johns Hopkins, I served for many years in Baltimore City government. I served as Chief of Staff to the Mayor. In that role, I advised the Mayor and helped lead the City through the COVID-19 pandemic and a spike in violent crime, among many other challenges. Before coming into the Mayor's office, I managed the Mayoral Transition, a team of 253 people across 10 issue-oriented committees, led by a 9-member steering committee. I joined City Government working in the Office of the City Council President, working my way up to Chief of Staff. I am passionate about public service, Baltimore, and my family. I live in Baltimore city with my wife and two children.
