About Michael Irizarry

After graduating high school, I had the honor of being accepted into the United States Naval Academy, where I pursued a degree in Computer Engineering. Throughout my time at the academy, I maintained a strong academic standing, finishing in the top third of my class—an achievement that reflects both my dedication and resilience.Following my graduation, I was selected to become a pilot and spent the next three years immersed in aviation training in Pensacola, Florida, and Corpus Christi, Texas. This period not only honed my technical skills but also fostered a mindset of precision, discipline, and adaptability—qualities essential for navigating high-pressure environments.Midway through my journey, I felt a calling to transition to the Surface Navy community, a decision driven by a desire to expand my leadership impact and operational knowledge. I received orders to the USS George Washington, where I served in dual roles: as a Tactical Action Officer and Operations Administrative Officer. In these roles, I managed complex operations, led cross-functional teams, and gained valuable experience in strategic planning and execution. Now, as I prepare to transition to the private sector, I am eager to leverage my Computer Engineering background, combined with the leadership, problem-solving, and operational expertise I developed in the Navy. I am passionate about working on innovative projects, collaborating with diverse teams, and driving impactful outcomes in dynamic environments.
