About Michael Irwin

Michael has a strong history and vast experience in the fields of Operational Management, Communications Management, Military & Qutdoor Recreation & Leadership Training & Safety Management, primarily with the Department of Defence – Army. He served 23 continuous years in the Army in the communications and instructional streams. Since moving to the private sector in 2011, Michael has successfully transitioned from Senior Soldier to State and National Manager roles. Michael is a highly motivated, disciplined, loyal team member with an inclusive & respectful leadership style who strives for excellence from the team through guidance and mentoring. He specialises in promoting teamwork to achieve targets and KPIs within allocated timelines whilst promoting and fostering a safety based culture. Michael prides himself on listening to the customer needs, his managers and team members to help establish and maintain a good rapport with the various stakeholders. The inclusion of the entire team in the decision making cycle helps to motivate them towards a common goal of a quality product. He has a wealth of experience operating in adverse conditions with limited resources. His personnel qualities, such as communications, his professionalism, resourcefulness and attention to detail, compliment his formal tertiary qualifications and enhance his performance in any working conditions.
