How would I sum up great project management? To me, it’s about having the best interests of the client at heart at all times and going above and beyond to deliver an outstanding project on time and on budget. This means paying attention to the smallest detail, being commercial aware, understanding how to manage and nurture relationships, solving problems quickly and efficiently, and working collaboratively for a successful outcome. As Project Manager at Byond Group, it’s my job to ensure that all the elements of a project come together how and when they’re supposed to. AV solutions are complicated and there are lots of moving parts to consider, from the initial consultation right through to design and installation – whether we’re designing a single Microsoft Teams Room for a start-up or helping a client update their entire AV estate across a number of offices in different locations. Communication is key, as are process and procedure. Get these details right and the project delivers itself – almost! We work with clients directly as well as with a number of partners whose focus is on the IT as opposed to the AV side of workplace solutions. With our partners we can work under their business umbrella or they can hand the whole project over to us and we can liaise with the client directly – whatever works best. We work across a range of sectors from legal and corporate to education, hospitality and the medical sector.
