About Michael J. Sewar

As a medical product design engineer, I have gained extensive knowledge on design controls in accordance with ISO:13485, FDA and EU MDR. My experience as a manufacturing engineer has trained me to create manufacturing efficient designs based on the manufacturing processes of the company. Leveraging my knowledge of these disciplines, I often design products at lower cost and timelines without sacrificing quality. I’ve managed development projects starting from the design requirements to transfer of the design to manufacturing, where I’ve worked with manufacturing to improve the manufacturability and efficiency of my designs. I believe in being thorough, especially in the beginning of the design process and this carries through to making accurate and precise products to fit the intended use. I’m excellent at communicating design changes and recommendations with other departments ensured successful implementation of product release. Through my methods I can give clear projections for the end product and what will can be expected by the end of the project. Over years I’ve developed exceptional skills in CAD modelling, creating and interpreting engineering drawings (per ASME standards), creating analysis reports and writing standards or procedures. Through my knowledge and skillset, I can provide turnkeys solution to any engineering and design issues.
