Background

About Michael J. Walk

I strive to be a dedicated, inquisitive, analytical, and performance-driven leader. I have 16 years of management and executive experience in public transit and over 17 years of experience conducting research, leading projects, and training. I am program manager of TTI’s Transit Mobility Program and lead a group of 12 other researchers providing local, state, and national sponsors with transit and shared mobility research, technical assistance, and training. I specialize in transit planning, operations, and scheduling; transit performance management and measurement; transit financial management; data collection and analysis; customer, community, and stakeholder outreach; and applying innovation and technology to transportation challenges. I am a researcher by training and a transit professional by trade, and my work helps transit agencies and other transportation providers to bridge the gap between innovation, research, and practice.
