About Michael James Hoyle

With over 20 years of experience in the theatre industry, I am a passionate and versatile theatre professional and educator, currently working as a Senior Lecturer in Technical Theatre and Stage Management at the University of Lincoln. I have a broad range of technical theatre specialisms, including project management, lighting design, set design, and scenic construction, which I leverage to deliver high-quality teaching and learning outcomes for my students. As the Director of Professional Practice and Enterprise at Lincoln School of Creative Arts, I also lead and coordinate a range of initiatives that aim to enhance the professional development and real-world experience of our staff and students, as well as foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the school. I am the founder and creative producer of a corporate entrepreneurship project that generates income, supports student and graduate employability, and engages with the arts sector. Additionally, I am pursuing a BA (Hons) in Professional Practice in Leadership and Management and the Chartered Manager status (CMgr) from the Chartered Management Institute, demonstrating my commitment to lifelong learning and excellence in my field.
