If I’m not brushing up on my coding skills or tinkering with something in my home-lab; you can probably find me on the tennis court, riding my bike or planning a camping trip. IT Experience- Experience maintaining and working with a variety of UNIX-based operating systems including Ubuntu Server, Mac OS and Chrome OS as well as Windows. Knowledge of web-server technologies such as Apache and Nginx including Redis for load balancing and ansible for automating maintenance tasks- Experience working in AWS and Google Cloud platforms for managing cloud servers and containers. Also experience working with Docker containers and virtual machines with Hyper V and Parallels- Knowledge of operating system scripting with bash and powershell for Linux and Windows respectively. Knowledge of the Python and SQL languages with some experience with the Javascript, PHP and HTML languages- Comfortable working with MySQL and Postgres databases. Including running queries to generate reports, create migrations to update data and table structures, and perform maintenance tasks- Experience with medium-size business networks including maintaining a site-to-site VPN, VPN for WFH employees to access internal resources and VLANs- Experience with JIRA in software-development and service-request (IT ticket) contexts. Along with knowledge of JIRA automation and project management.
