About Michael Jennett

My IT career includes the financial, technical, health and aerospace industries and comprises more than 20 years’ COBOL, along with over than 10 years’ Assembler experience. My preferred – and most common position – is as an experienced member within a project team. I have performed leadership roles in the past, however I find more satisfaction in the design and coding phases of projects. For the recent fifteen years, I have specialized in short to medium duration contracts, frequently on automation or legacy conversions for European and North American clients. Outside of the professional environment, weekends and vacations find me exploring the countryside in a pair of hiking boots, or participating in long-distance cycling treks. For indoor pursuits, I enjoy fiction writing and various forms of ballroom dancing.
