About Michael Keating

As for my character and world view. • Thinker – I seek silence and space for big thoughts. I have a curiosity for the unknown and often ask “what if.” I take initiative to learn and understand things at great depth. I see systems and interdependencies in everything. I'm a problem solver who applies systems thinking to bring order to chaos. • Challenges – Some paths are easier than others. Where many may choose an expedient path of convenience, I seek out the most correct path and am unafraid to pursue it. No matter the challenge. I'm energized by tasks or projects that frustrate or confound others. • Work Ethic – No worthy achievement comes without hard work. Born from an underprivileged background, nothing was given to me. My whole life I've rolled up my sleeves, got my hands dirty, and worked-hard! The achievement that comes with my team's hard work motivates me. • Family – I’m a loving husband and father of three and believe the next generation matters most. I make every effort to share my knowledge, wisdom, and experience to afford them the opportunities I lacked early on. This is the same way I mentor and develop my people. I grow and care for them like family. • Smiles – My leadership style is not to give big, inspiring speeches. I’m a “deckplate” leader who “works the room” and gets things done through relationships. I’m authentic, selfless, lead with my heart, and have a penchant for creating smiles and laughs in the right setting.
