About Michael Kendall

As a Deputy Civil Attorney for Davis County, I provide legal advice and counsel to Davis County on numerous civil matters. More specifically, I regularly interact with and provide legal advice and counsel to the Davis County elected officials as well as the directors, supervisors, and staff of the many Davis County departments including, but not limited to, the Davis County: 1) Board of County Commissioners; 2) Assessor; 3) Clerk/Auditor; 4) Recorder; 5) Sheriff; 6) Surveyor; 7) Treasurer; 8) Animal Care and Control; 9) Community and Economic Development; 10) Legacy Events Center; 11) Health; 12) Library; 13) Personnel; 14) Planning; 15) Public Works; and 16) Tax Administration. As an attorney for Parson Kinghorn Harris ("PKH"), I developed a broad base of law-related skills including: 1) substantial litigation experience (e.g. pleadings, motion practice, discovery, evidentiary hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and collection of judgments); 2) substantial transactional experience (e.g. negotate and memorialize multi-million dollar transactions, analyze and revise numeorus agreements and documents, and prepare many agreements and documents); 3) legal research (e.g. case law, statutes, legislative history, regulations, public records, and websites in various jurisdictions); and 4) communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution (e.g. regular communication with clients, attorneys, courts, and third parties, management of attorneys, paralegals, and staff, and resolution of vigoriously disputed matters through settlement or otherwise. While at PKH, I also gained significant experience in many substantive areas of the law including, but not limited to, banking and finance, bankruptcy, business torts, commercial litigation, contract formation, negotiation, and enforcement, employment law, foreclosures, general civil litigation, lien and lien priorty disputes, and real property.
