About Michael Kenning
Currently I work as a data scientist for prognostica GmbH in Würzburg. In September 2023 I completed my doctoral work at Swansea University. The research focussed on deep learning applied to data that is not regularly structured. For example, whereas the pixels of an image can be fit to a grid (a regular structure), a social network, consisting of users joined by connections, cannot be made to fit a grid. The mathematical object used for this purpose is the graph. I am now resident in the city of Bamberg. In June 2023 I joined at the Chair of Mobile Systems of the University of Bamberg as a visiting scientist. Outside my work, I give English-language tours of Bamberg to to the city's visitors in association with Geschichte für Alle e.V. Otherwise you will find me reading or learning languages.
