Background
About Michael Knobelsdorf
I'm a CG Supervisor and CG Generalist who scopes projects, shapes creative direction, builds assets, and leads teams across the full 3D pipeline. I started in character animation, expanded into modeling, rigging, texturing, and lighting, and moved into supervision and translating client briefs into visual strategy, coordinating freelancers, working directly with clients, and solving production problems before they become expensive. My recent focus has been real-time: optimizing for Unreal, Unity, mobile VR (Quest 2/3), and WebGL. I enjoy the technical puzzle of balancing visual fidelity against per-platform constraints, and I've built workflows that make that balance repeatable across teams and projects. When I'm not pushing verts, I'm usually troubleshooting whatever the latest trending toolset broke.
