I’ve been in clinical Endocrinology private practice in Roanoke, Virginia for 34 years. During that time, I founded and directed three Diabetes Treatment Units, including the first one in Virginia to receive American Diabetes Association Certification in 1984. In the education field, I was previously on the clinical faculty at the University of Virginia, rising to the rank of Associate Professor. Currently, I give Endocrinology lectures to medical students at the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I have done consulting work for numerous legal firms in the area of medical malpractice and work as a utilization reviewer for a national UR corporation.
