About Michael Kovasala

Pre-medical current applicant. My interests within the healthcare field are in restructuring patient care to be more patient-centered, helping patients access necessary care to improve outcomes, and delivering a high-quality patient experience. With respect to public health, I have a keen interest in epidemiology, health care reform, and the social determinants of health. My objective is to contribute to research with actionable results, and to help implement new evidence-based practices to streamline the healthcare system, and improve access, quality, and equity. With deep knowledge of the healthcare industry and experience with a variety of investigation and communication methods, I aim to use research to design and implement creative solutions to the healthcare problems of today, and anticipate the problems of tomorrow. Some of my other interests include global health, community service, literature, music, and theatre.
