About Michael Lader

In 1993, I lost my mother to cancer and while having to deal with the tragedy of losing her, we had to deal with most of our mother's estate, including her retirement assets going to her soon to be ex-husband (not our father) because she failed to plan properly. Another extreme issue happened to my father during the tech bubble burst. He didn't have a good financial advisor or guidance for his retirement, and he lost a great part of his wealth. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business management (University of South Florida) in 1988 and joined the US Air Force as a second lieutenant and flew for the Air Force. I was in the B-52 on active duty and transitioned to the HC-130 Combat Rescue in the reserves in 1994. I continued with the Air Force Reserves until retirement as a lieutenant colonel in May of 2016 after 28 years. In my Air Force career, I participated in Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. I flew for the airlines after leaving the Air Force full time and held several positions: first officer, captain, instructor captain and evaluator captain. In 2006, I left the airlines to pursue my greatest passion - helping others with their financial goals - and joined Edward Jones. I now have the honor and privilege to serve people and help them achieve their financial goals. My ideal client is someone who values personalized "one-on-one" coaching strategies for retirement planning, sending loved ones to college or helping with estate considerations.
