About Michael Lafarr

Dr. Michael LaFarr is the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Health and Wellness at the University of Denver. Previously he was the Executive Director of Health and Wellness at Brandeis University. Michael has been working in higher education administration since 1996. Michael earned a bachelor's degree in education, a master's degree in higher education administration, and a second master's degree and doctorate in clinical psychology. His research and professional interests are in areas of equity and access, non-majority populations, integrative health care, and clinical treatment of the under-served. In addition to his outstanding clinical work and work teaching graduate students, Michael speaks around the US on important college health topics such as Successful integration of health and counseling services, Behavioral Intervention Teams, Effective leadership in Higher Education, Resilience Building, and Embracing Change. Michael's professional involvement spans Higher Education Administration, University Health Services, and Clinical Psychology. He is an active member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), National Association of Behavior Intervention Teams (NaBITA), The American College Health Association (ACHA), and The American Psychological Association (APA).
