I am a Restructuring professional with significant experience at independent and Big 4 professional services firms in the Cayman Islands, the United Kingdom and Australia. I have led numerous restructuring and insolvency engagements across a number of offshore jurisdictions including The Bahamas, Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, and the Cayman Islands. My breadth of experience includes corporate insolvency (court-appointed official and provisional liquidations, and solvent liquidations), personal insolvency appointments, and consulting engagements related to AML/KYC and the provision of expert evidence. My notable engagements include: ‣ Fairfield Sentry Ltd – Liquidation of a BVI incorporated feeder fund that invested US$7.2 billion in Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, the largest Ponzi scheme in US history. ‣ Thomas Cook Group - Special Managers of various entities in the Thomas Cook Group, a global travel group and airline with revenues of £10 billion. ‣ Caledonian Bank Limited – Official Liquidation of a Class A licensed commercial bank in the Cayman Islands with 1,200 depositors and assets of over US$400 million. ‣ Spinneys Holdings Limited - Appointed by the Commercial Bank of Dubai PSC as Receivers over a Cayman Islands holding company that was part of The Abraaj Group and owned the Egyptian supermarkets business, Spinneys Egypt. ‣ TCA Global Credit Fund, Ltd - Official Liquidation of a Cayman Islands feeder fund. The master fund is a direct lender to distressed public and private companies with purported AUM of US$500 million. ‣ Sturgeon Central Asia Balanced Fund Ltd – Provisional Liquidation of a Bermuda incorporated fund with investments in the Silk Road region. ‣ Energicon Holdings (Cayman) – Official Liquidation of a Cayman Islands holding company with subsidiaries in Argentina involved in oil and gas exploration. ‣ Sir Jack Hayward Trust – Engaged by the Judicial Trustee to prepare an independent business review of the Trust in The Bahamas. ‣ Man Group - Legal entity rationalisation project with respect to the liquidation of over 70 funds domiciled in Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands. ‣ Project Rocket – Seconded to a leading financial services firm in the Cayman Islands for an AML and compliance project. ‣ Provision of expert evidence and analysis on the management structure of mutual funds in the Cayman Islands.
