About Michael Laymon

I am a software developer that graduated from UNT this spring. I am most passionate about web applications. My preferred programming language is JavaScript and the frontend rendering framework is use the most is React. I use Next.js for projects that have a lot of dynamic data and am learning Astro for projects with more static content.My goal is to find a programming job at a company where I can grow my skills and share in their vision.I worked at Kroger Pickup (previously ClickList) in the online grocery pickup department. While there, I positively engaged customers during pickup process, followed detailed instructions for customer shopping lists, monitored customer order status, worked with other team members to complete tasks with the most efficiency possible, and scheduled employees each week. Due to my experience and leadership during COVID-19 pandemic, I was promoted to a department lead. In the absence of our Supervisor, myself and one other Department Lead have stepped up to complete the tasks of our missing Supervisor with high commendations from management and other departments that we work closely with.
