About Michael Lee Scott

I am looking to work in a music studio as an Engineer's assistant or intern. I am very knowledgeable with DAW's (Digital Audio Workstations, such as Logic) and mixing terms, but do not have in-studio experience and would like to change that! I am also looking for drum session work; I can play any style from Metal double bass/blast beats, to Jazzy swings and shuffles, to Latin Bossa Nova and Calypso feels- I enjoy being a part of all the processes in creating a quality musical product. My areas of expertise are in Production and Composition; I can create a musical context individually with guitar, bass, drums, vocals, or piano/keys/synth, and then record it into a sequencer. Using different effects and being able to layer these instruments, I can create unique sounds, ambiance, and full songs. In 2011, I released a self-produced album in which I played all the instruments and sang. It was released on Facebook and Bandcamp August 5th under the title,"The Glow Within". I've released another album and a single under this alias since then. I am currently growing a drum instruction business in the South Denver Area. My rates are $25 per half hour and $40 per hour. The two introductory half hour lessons are $20, or first hour lesson $30. I am the Drummer and one of the vocalists in Denver based Progressive-Death Metal outfit,"Seren". We will be releasing our debut album in the coming months and will be looking to add a lead guitar player before playing shows.
