About Michael Leznar

My passion is software engineering and project delivery. My career engagements include roles in management, research & development, quality assurance, support and consulting. I have worked with many small, medium and large, local and international companies. I thrive on leading project teams involved in engineering and adoption of enterprise software solutions, demanding high standards of quality and professionalism. I am an agent for change and pride myself on being capable of obtaining the best from my teams through leading by example, coaching, mentoring, promoting team accountability and by applying modern project and software life-cycle management practices and tooling. I have a documented track record of leading and managing successful projects. I am a senior back-end developer and systems architect focused on Java and the Springboot framework. I am a subject matter expert in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Resilience, Change Management, Data Protection, Data Security and Bank regulatory fields. I feel most comfortable in a hands-on role that encompasses managerial and/or technical responsibilities allowing me to organize and drive project delivery through affinity with both management and technicians whilst leveraging my technical subject matter expertise. I have a Bachelor of Applied Science (Computing Science) degree with Honours from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.
