About Michael Lilienthal

I have over 29 years in the Fire Service. I began my professional firefighting career with the Stockton Fire Department on November 1, 1996. I had the privilege to work as a Firefighter/Paramedic, Engineer, Captain, and Battalion Chief for the City of Stockton Fire Department. In 2012, I had a unique opportunity to advance my career with the El Dorado Hills Fire Department. In El Dorado Hills, I served as a shift Battalion Chief/Fire Marshal, Deputy Chief of Operations, Deputy Chief of Administration/Emergency Planning, Deputy Chief assigned to the El Dorado County Office of Emergency Services as a Fire Liaison and Emergency Manager, and now Fire Chief. I am also proudly part of the Sacramento Regional Incident Management Team as a Plans Section Chief and Liaison Officer. My over 19 years of experience as a Chief Officer has allowed me to develop my servant leadership philosophy, approach challenges with a strategic thought process, and grow both my administrative and operational skills. I have learned that the key to success is building trust, establishing relationships, and collaborating with others.
