About Michael Litty

While I've worked in counseling, computer repair, graphic design, and education, the common thread throughout has been communicating, listening, and creative problem solving. My education in counseling and experience working with clients, parents, and students through previous positions have equipped me with the skills to communicate with a diverse range of people, building relationships, and working toward a common goal. Graphic design built upon the fine arts education I received at The Ohio State University. My experience in the fine arts pushed me to see things differently, to look at objects and ideas in the abstract, creating new contexts and meanings. Graphic design elevated those skills to a level of communication that involves clearly communicating a client's message to a defined audience and often in a specific context. My experience in video has allowed me to include movement and time in my ever-expanding communication tool box. Working in technology broadens my imagination of the possible. A large part of working in and with technology is knowing how to find relevant information and apply it inventively. This sometimes means pushing technology to meet changing user needs and other times involves adjusting users' expectations to meet limitations of available technology. In the corporate, academic, public, and personal realms, technology should make life easier. People, and relationships matter. Technology is working best when it is bringing people together, building and strengthening relationships through the sharing of ideas and experiences. Traditional concepts of word, image, color, layout, etc. benefit from modern technology coming together to push ideas farther and faster."Seeing is believing."
