Strong education professional with a BBUS focused in Business from Queensland University of Technology. Michael’s career in the insurance industry has spanned in excess of 40 years. During that time, he has worked firstly as an underwriter with one of Australia’s largest insurers before moving to the broking sector where he has worked for both international and national companies. Michael’s specialities extend to the structuring and reviewing of insurance programs for the corporate, logistic, construction and mining sectors and has included a number of key Alliance, and infrastructure projects, Corporate entities as well as SME's. Michael is capable of structuring the design and place insurance programs and coverage in the local and international market, manuscript wordings, draft, review and negotiate insurance contractual provisions and indemnity provisions, carrying out due diligence of existing insurance programs, as well as the management/negotiation of claims. Michael is focussed on delivering outstanding risk management and transfer solutions for complex technical risks, and is passionate about the delivery of exceptional service to clients. Michael has also worked as a risk/insurance manager with an ASX listed waste management company where he was responsible for the groups international insurance and workers compensation programs along with the development and implementation of key risk management activities.
