About Michael Loomis

I have served in the United States Navy for over 25 years. I am a Limited Duty Officer in naval aviation whose job is a technical manager in the field of aviation maintenance. I have planned and supervised the execution of aviation maintenance programs at the organizational, intermediate, and depot levels. I have enforced, controlled, and developed quality assurance standards and procedures to ensure flight safety and proper material condition of aircraft. I have authored program requirements and well as administered programs for the development, testing, and evaluation of aircraft maintenance systems and methods. Charged with the review and verifying of aircraft maintenance logs, records, and reports. I have served as a Division Officer in a large Intermediate Maintenance facility of more than 1,200 Sailor, Artisans, and Civilian workforce and was personally responsible for more than 367 employees tasking's and personal development. Prior to serving as an Officer, I was Chief Petty Officer Aviation Electronics Technician and Safe-for-Flight Maintenance Controller. Primary duty was to supervise organizational and intermediate level maintenance on the Naval aircraft, aircraft components, aircraft engines, ground support equipment and Aviators Life Support Systems.
