About Michael Luces

Michael (he/him) is an Operations Analyst, with TD Securities and a proud member of the TD Securities Black Experience Leadership Committee. He is a part-time Instructor at a private college, teaching Professional Communication, Project Management, and Working Across Cultures to international students. A certified SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) Scrum Master, Michael utilizes and applies his knowledge of Agile practices, in his day-to-day operations, to ensure swift and efficient results. Utilizing his passion for corporate communications, Michael is focused on applying the methodologies of project management to assist him in the smooth, effective execution of projects in areas such as finance, information technology, and human resources. With a strong background within the financial industry, he polished his interpersonal skills, specializing in customer service, financial advice, and conflict resolution. Michael is a driven, positive and motivating team player, using his emotional intelligence to communicate and invigorate his colleagues. Currently, he calls upon the transferable skills gained from his previous roles, studies and volunteering experience, in order to apply them in the fast-paced environment of corporate lending. As a graduate of Humber College’s Project Management Post-Graduate program, Michael boasts a thorough understanding of the principles of both Waterfall Methodology and Agile Methodology. Additionally, he is a SAFe Certified Scrum Master, with a deep understanding of Agile practices.
