Established Sucrogen’s treasury following Wilmar’s purchase of the business from CSR Limited. This involved the recruitment of a new treasury team, negotiation of new debt and banking relationships, implementation of a treasury system (eTC), and establishment of policy and procedures. Negotiated a corporate debt facility of A$550m, doubling Babcock & Brown’s available capital. Multiple subsequent expansions of the facility to A$2,800m provided for further expansion in line with corporate growth strategies. Responsible for the Australian finance component of Babcock & Brown’s IPO prospectus (Australian GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS), including consolidation of off-balance sheet structures, and related-party transactions. Implemented the Peoplesoft accounting system into Babcock & Brown globally. Integrated the AIDC Limited finance function into Babcock & Brown.
