I am currently a post doctoral researcher under Prof. Dr. Franziska Schoenebeck at RWTH Aachen University. I graduated with my Ph.D. from the lab of Dr. Paul Helquist and Dr. Olaf Wiest at the University of Notre Dame in May 2023 and had prior research experience in computational and synthetic organic chemistry. During my Ph.D, I primarily studied the mechanisms of transition metal-catalyzed reactions using electronic structure methods such as Gaussian 16 and ORCA. This mechanistic understanding was then leveraged to make enantioselectivity predictions in asymmetric catalysis using Q2MM. Skilled in electronic structure theory, physical organic chemistry, methodology development and mechanism elucidation.
