About Michael Mandel

As a senior lecturer in business communication at the University of Arizona, I have more than a decade of experience teaching and mentoring undergraduate students, graduate students, and working professionals to develop their interpersonal, team, and presentation skills. I am passionate about helping them find their authentic voices, enhance their emotional intelligence, and adapt to changing contexts and audiences. I also have more than eight years of experience as a co-author of three popular business communication textbooks, published by Kendall Hunt. These books provide practical and strategic guidance for communicating effectively in the workplace, covering topics such as professional credibility, emotional intelligence, leading through change, and communication agility. I am a certified Hogan Assessment Coach and the owner and principal of Mandel Management Solutions, a consulting firm that offers coaching and training services to 21st-century leaders and organizations.
