Independent consultant with a 30-year background in utilities, government, development and consulting. Key skills are renewable energy project development, climate change policy and market instruments, energy utility regulation, and multi-disciplinary research design and management. Due diligence and wind power project development for Northland Power Inc. Toronto, Canada Discovered the NaiKun offshore wind farm site in British Columbia, Canada and served as VP Power and Transmission Planning for a 400 MW development. Managed wind resource assessment, environmental assessment, permitting, transmission studies and relations with the utility. Senior Associate, Global Change Strategies International, later Natsource LLC of New York, a leading provider of management and advisory services in global emissions and renewables. Joined GCSI in its early stages as an expert in energy and climate change. Prior to GCSI, work was primarily in energy utility planning, markets and regulation. Positions in Resource Planning and Corporate Planning at BC Hydro, served as an expert witness at regulatory hearings and managed large-scale public consultation exercises in energy planning.
